Brent Fitzgerald is a designer and engineer in San Francisco, USA. His work includes interfaces for data visualization and analysis, social collaboration, and networked personal devices. His core skills include information, interaction, and visual design, user-driven design, software engineering, and system architecture.
Prior to Taco Lab, Brent served as Design Chief at Swivel, a social data analysis and visualization web company in San Francisco. While at Swivel, Brent led conceptualization, product strategy and design vision of Swivel’s business intelligence application, allowing people to visualize, and annotate live updating streams of numbers. He also contributed to data visualization academic panels, workshops, and conferences.
Brent received his MS from the MIT Media Laboratory, where he was a research and teaching assistant in the Physical Language Workshop (PLW) led by John Maeda. He received a BS in Symbolic Systems at Stanford, with a concentration in Natural Language.
